Trading Style

Indoor trading area

The pub is in excellent condition throughout the trading areas and toilets. It benefits from several traditional features including an inglenook fireplace and wooden beams. The lounge is accessed through an arched entrance and is used mostly for dining with a mixture of fixed and loose seating for approximately 40 covers. There is a spacious local’s bar with sports viewing, pub games and seating for approximately 45 covers. Both bars are in good decorative order and host some great beers and cask ales. The pub has occasionally offered live entertainment, and this could be enhanced in order to provide further revenue and growth for the business. There is a commercial catering kitchen which is fully functional and capable of producing a traditional pub menu. The underground cellar is accessed at the front of the pub and is clean and well-kept with plenty of space for beer storage and stillage. Potential exists to increase the cask offer with a separate area for ales.

Outdoor trading area

The outdoor area to the pub can be found at the rear and is of a courtyard style, with covered parts as well as a small grassed area, which can be accessed directly from the pub or carpark. The well-kept external area covers approximately fifty percent of the exterior grounds, with around 40 additional covers. Due to the enclosed setting of this area, it is known to be safe for families and children to enjoy the sunshine in the warmer months. Surfaced in tarmacadem with shrubs around the perimeter, the carpark sits adjacent and is well lit from the main building, providing 30 vehicle spaces for the customers.
