Induction and Career Development Trainer:

 

We are looking for someone to join the L&D team as an induction and career development trainer. The role is dedicated to the induction of general managers, head chefs, and will also include creating, developing, and delivering a career path training programmes, which should inspire our pub teams to take the next stages in their career, with Marston’s.

Your role will be to create and deliver internal programmes for our pub teams in support of existing methods and to provide a seamless career journey starting right from induction. You’ll collaborate with operational stakeholders and colleagues across the business including training professionals and HRBPs. Their input will be important in helping you design development programmes that create progression opportunities for our team members that they can’t get with our competitors. We want everyone to know that a career at Marston’s is worth staying for.

We already offer a range of ways our people can progress, including chef and management development programmes plus kitchen and front of house apprenticeships. We’ve seen team members progress through our career paths to varied management roles and kitchen porters become head chefs, often within only a few short years. Your training innovations will make those stories more common, but no less special.

You might have a background in hospitality, or you might be from another industry. Either way, you’ll be able to devise forward thinking online, classroom, digital and task-based learning resources and training materials that inspire engagement. You'll need to be happy training face-to-face or over Teams and fully Office 365 literate, you’ll be able to adapt to our Career Path Learning (CPL) software, plus our award winning online gaming training app.

 What we need from you:

  • Experience of writing training materials and delivering inspiring training sessions
  • Creative thinking that will make Marston’s careers stand out from the competition
  • Experience in coordinating Learning & Development plans would be preferable
  • A passion for helping others in their development
  • Excellent communication skills
  • A flexible, multi-tasking approach
  • Full UK driving licence as travel to support training will be required.
